On June 6th, Paul took Elizabeth to the Cracker Barrell in Abilene, Texas where they first met. During dinner, Paul asked Elizabeth if she wanted to go for a walk. She suggested walking around the Abilene Christian University campus, but he didn't like that idea. He preferred they go out to Hardin Simmons University. Paul parked the truck in front of the Sandefer Memorial and lead Elizabeth to the bridge. They continued over the pond to the gazebo, where he got down on one knee. |

He asked Liz if she would put up with his arrony, hard headed, stubborn self. She said yes and giggled with delight as they each called their parents to share the good news! |
